USATT League Info

League participation changes:  Due to changes by USATT that started January 2021, league players must be active members of USATT to participate.  There is a basic level of USATT membership at $25 a year as an alternative to the full membership of $75 a year. The Basic Membership allows players to participate in USATT tournaments 4 stars or lower (all except national level tournaments). It is recommended to register at least a day before league night as there is no guarantee that USATT will be able to process your registration on the spot at our club. We will check the USATT website to confirm you are an active member before you can participate in the league.

Round Robin League for USATT League Rating Points:

  • USATT League Ratings are separate from USATT Tournament Ratings
  • The WJTTC League runs on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month.
  • Warm-up and sign-up start at 7:00 p.m. Sign-up ends & play starts at 8:00 p.m.
  • Matches will be best 3 out of 5 games using the 11points/game format.
  • Rating points gained/lost will be per match.
  • Points are calculated using the USATT rating system per the table below.
  • Ratings will be updated for the following round robin.
  • Round robins will be 4-6 players/group. Groups will be from highest to lowest of the people that sign-up that night.
  • There is no additional charge to play in the league. There will still be open tables if individuals do not want to enter the competition.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Get an idea of where you might be if you played in USATT tournaments.
  • Get the feel of competition without risking your official USATT rating.
  • Play people closest to your ability.
  • Provide support to the USATT in an effort to make table tennis more popular.

If you are going to arrive after the 8:00pm start time and still want to play in the league, you can use the following methods:

  1. Notify anyone who will be there that night to let the league coordinator know that you will be playing.
  2. Post a message on our WhatsApp group.
  3. Contact our league coordinator Scott Kandell at skandell@comcast.net and let him know you will be attending.

Note: If you notify us that you are attending and do not show up that night, you will no longer be allowed to use this method.
